RAGBRAI Day Three - Dayton

We have finally arrived in Dayton.  It's about quarter til two. We've ridden straight into a headwind for about 18 miles.  We'd really wanted to ride the Karras loop (which would make it a hundred mile day), but support at the loop town ends at 3, and the first half of it is still into the wind. We've decided that discretion is the better part of valor, given that we've still got 4 days of riding.  It sucks, but we feel like it's the right decision.

In other news, we saw the unicyclist today, along with a guy riding his recumbent barefoot.

The upside to not riding the century today is that we hope to get into Webster City in time to connect with family friends.  Our stop at their house last year was a highlight of our whole trip, so we're looking forward to seeing them again.
